Collection: A Heavy Heart Collection

Studio Ghibli has touched the heart of many, but to have a heart can also be a great burden. The spectacular movie Howl's Moving Castle shows how carefree the wizard Howl can be, but he cannot love without retrieving his heart. I loved taking inspiration from the movie to create the pieces of this collection. Exploring characters such as Calcifer, Howl and the scarecrow turnip head, as well as being inspired by the colours and jewellery shown throughout. I really enjoyed making this collection and finding a way to remind myself that the small joys are often found in the simplest of things. Especially if you add a bit of whimsy to it.
